Fuel pumps down each day different pumps are down. Keypads not working on like 4 of 10 pumps. You must get 60gal of fuel to park now and register your ticket inside to park for free. Fuel island hardly ever has hot food ,guys sleeping at night.

Would give negative stars if possible. As a trucker, this is the craziest truck stop I've ever been to. If you're not a pro driver or don't know one then you probably don't understand how we are sometimes forced into staying overnight at places we don't want to. Case in point. I sat in traffic because of back to back wrecks on I94/41 at the Illinois/Wisconsin line last night for four hours. We basically have a clock in our trucks and cannot drive more than 11 hours a day or we are out of compliance with the DOT. Fines, etc. Despite the best planning things like this happen all too often. I ran out of time through no fault of my own. You better take the first opportunity you come across to get off the road because if you get pulled over and you have passed places where you could stop you will get slammed. That's why you see trucks parked on ramps, because they have ran out of options and that's the last resort. Believe me, noone wants to park at an on ramp. Ok, just wanted to clue everyone in on what led me to this. I had to pull in to the Chicago TA. Love's and Pilot were so full I couldn't get in the parking lot. Truck stops mark everything up a lot to begin with. Something that cost you $5 at Walmart costs us $20 at a truck stop. Okay, that's just the way it is at them all, part of the game. Combine that with the tens of thousands of gallons of diesel they sell everyday and you have a business model that almost can't fail. TA, Travel Centers of America has upped the game. $25 a night to park there, $18 shower that smelled like raw sewage and a dark parking lot. Believe me when I tell you no trucker wants to be anywhere near Chicago when it comes time to park. Not meant as an insult if you're from Chicago.
I'm from the south and often forget that I'm not at home anymore. When walking past someone and they make eye contact I will nod my head and say "hello" or "how's it going". I will hold the door open for you if you are coming in behind me. I'm actively trying to make myself stop that up north, it's not accepted well. The employees here are very rude. If you're a trucker and you're reading this, don't stop here if you can avoid it. I never will again. I will park on a ramp first. I will also avoid doing business with any TA at any location. If this is how they treat the people who were the foundation and still are, I am boycotting TA. I suggest you do the same. This is beyond ridiculous. They know we are between a rock and a hard place and they are going to squeeze us for every little drop they can. Businesses are designed to make money but this is foul. Keep going, There's another Love's on the other side of Chicago in Gary. Go anywhere else.

Truckers if you have to pay the parking, don’t spend your money in their store or shop call mechanic from outside is much cheaper.

Truck stops they become scammers and they robbing you because they know you need them

This place is garbage only thing it had going far it was the free parking now 25 dollars a night. Which is ridiculous since The only upgrade they have in the last 10 years is paint new lines in the lot they're over charging for. I have no problem paying when it's worth it. Here it is not pass by at all costs.

I used to park here. Now they have walled off the parking lot and parking is no longer free.
Question is, what were they thinking? They have no restaurants here but Country Pride. Racine Petro is 10mi up the road and has several restaurants, gives coupons for food discounts and free parking for a 75 gallon purchase.
This place can't compete with Free parking. Think about it.

It could be better, but it's a typical truck stop! I usually fill up and go, as long as there ain't no jerk blocking the pumps because he's taking a break or a shower!

Very clean and organized. There is a good selection of food. The restrooms were clean and maintained well. Plenty of parking a good place to stop for your 30 or 10 hour breaks.
